My Cancer Life in Numbers

In no random order, here are some impressive numbers as of mid – May 2011:

  • 1,420 – Miles driven to/from doctors appointments.
  • 76 – Number of doctors visits…
  • 1.1 (cm) – size of my tumor
  • 1 – biopsy
  • 1 – mammogram
  • 1 – breast MRI
  • 2 – surgeries (lumpectomy & reexcision)
  • 4,620- ounces of vegetable juice I drank since December 5, 2010 (approximately 30 oz/day)
  • 2 – surgery scars
  • 0 – lymph nodes positive for cancer
  • 15 – eggs retrieved
  • 13 – eggs fertilized
  • 7 – embryos frozen
  • $97,873.44- in insurance claims (submitted diagnosis through 6/27/11)
  • 4 – chemo treatments completed
  • 0 – chemo treatments to go!!!
  • 33 rounds of radiation treatment completed
  • 0 rounds of radiation to go
  • 1,825 Tamoxifen pills to be taken
  • 4,636- blog hits/views
  • 241 – blog views on busiest day
  • 1 – awesome woman who will kick cancer’s butt!

      Ah, yes – so you’re Courtney’s friend! Thanks for tuning in. For the most part I try to stay positive, but trust me there are tears and moments of despair. Just can’t wait until this all over and done with! Alexis

      Thanks! I just briefly checked out your blog and I see that you’re into running and all thing fitness related. That is fantastic – I’ll have to go back and read more. I’m trying to keep up with workouts and running through my treatments, but its been hard. I’ve definitely lost some of my physical strength and endurance. Thanks for finding me and offering some encouraging words!
